With so many rehab options available in Thailand, and many springing up and closing down regularly, if can be difficult to understand which rehabs may be more appropriate than others.

The Thailand Rehab Association was formed to help potential clients and their families navigate the multiple rehab options available and choose the most appropriate rehab for themselves or someone they care about – Criteria to be a member of the TRA is; fully licensed, has longevity, proven treatment program, highly experienced staff, operates ethically, enjoy solid success rates and is affordable.

The founding rehab companies that make up the Thailand Rehab Association have all been established for a minimum of 5 years, which is an important time frame to build operating efficiency, recruit, train and retain good staff, create an effective treatment program, develop a network of healthcare partners and understand how Thailand works. It takes time.

The founding rehabs are also all fully licensed and accredited by the Thailand Ministry of Public Health – a certification that can take up to a year to achieve, where every part of the rehab is audited - from business structure, staff credentials, treatment program, nursing care, client facilities and health and safety.

Lastly, these rehabs meet regularly, all enjoy good relationships with each other and put client needs above all else, referring clients to rehabs that may be more suitable.

The Thailand Rehab Association’s aim is to build upon this foundation of highly credible and proven rehabs, support Thailand’s goal to be the leading rehab destination in the world, and to ensure clients receive the highest levels of care.

The Thailand Rehab Association’s aim is to promote credible, ethical and proven rehab facilities in Thailand for the benefit of clients worldwide, as well as self-regulate and hold each other accountable to maintain the high standards of the Thai Rehab Association.

The Thailand Rehab Association will review applications to join the Thai Rehab Association on an annual basis to help grow and promote proven quality rehab options in Thailand and further the image of Thailand as a leading rehab destination.

The Thailand Rehab Association is not a referral service or a comparison matrix, or offers any advice on which rehab may be more suitable.
